A week after the Director-General of Tinubu Support Groups and former House of Representatives member, Abdulmumin Jibrin, revealed that former Lagos State governor and National Leader of the All-Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, will run for President in 2023, it has been learnt that he informed President Muhammadu Buhari of his intention, to which the President reportedly asked him to go ahead.
This comes as governors of the ruling party meeting on Sunday night for a critical meeting on the party’s proposed February national convention.

The Vice President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, has also been reportedly informed of Tinubu’s ambition.
The two were the centre of attention when they met on Saturday in Azare, Bauchi State, for the wedding of the Minister of Education, Alhaji Adamu Adamu’s daughter.
