Nigeria Finally Lifts Twitter Ban

Nigeria Finally Lifts Twitter Ban.

Nigeria has reversed its Twitter ban, seven months after imposing restrictions on the social networking site.

Last June, the Nigerian government banned Twitter after the corporation erased a message by President Muhammadu Buhari about punishing regional secessionists.

Authorities charged the social media company of siding with secessionists.

However, the government said that the ban will be lifted after Twitter agreed to certain requirements, including the establishment of a local office in Nigeria.

Twitter did not react to whether it had agreed to the government’s requests, but it did say it was pleased to be back in the nation and was truly dedicated to Nigeria.
